Satellite TV

A couple of years ago my friend Robert and his wife bought a restaurant near downtown. Since then, they have been catering to many clients and have been established a name for their good food and quality service.

One time, I thought of paying them a visit and see for myself if they were doing well. When I arrived I saw how nice the place was, I was so amazed on how well he managed it and I praised him for that.

He accompanied me to one of his favorite spot and asks me what else I can say about his cool restaurant. I told him that his place is almost complete except for the entertainment parse. I suggested that he should inquire on some dish business where a commercial satellite tv is being offered. I actually saw about this cool package at a direct sat commercial direct tv that my SIL was using. I thought that by adding some tv entertainment on his restaurant, his customers would surely be staying longer and will be coming back for more. Fortunately, he is considering my idea. He asked his assistant to canvass and purchase a good television and sound system to go well with the new satellite tv package he will avail. He also called the phone number I gave him to inquire about the whole system and the other packages that he might also be interested in.

Having your own business these days requires lots of hard work and dedication. It also needs lots of studying and applying those without minding the risks.

I work in HR, which means that I interview a lot of potential employees in my company.

I mostly handle phone interviews to screen out candidates early in the hiring process and I set aside at least two or three days a week just to do that. There are definitely a lot of horror stories about crazy things that people have said over the phone in these interviews, which makes the work a little more interesting that most would assume.

So when I noticed that it was getting a little harder to hear over the phone, I knew that I had to do something about it quickly. I found some miracle ear reviews online and asked around with my friends who had hearing aids by them. These reviews seemed to be pretty accurate and along the lines of what my friends and acquaintances told me. I booked an appointment and got fitted with some invisible hearing aids.

I noticed a difference after a few phone interviews and think as a result that I’ve been a little more fair to the interviewees.

Frequent Flips

We kind of fell into professional house flipping. About a decade ago we bought a run-down fixer upper and fixed it up within a matter of a few months. I really didn’t have reselling it so soon in mind, I just wanted to get the repairs done so we could start enjoying the house a lot sooner. But then we got an offer to buy that we couldn’t in our right minds refuse so we sold it and moved onto another.

We always stay in our same city, but there are plenty of homes that are left unkempt and up for sale that are easy to buy in this housing market. The first thing that we did with the one that we’re currently living in is fixing up the outside. It’s in downtown, so the siding wasn’t a little more worn for all the people walking by it and bumping into it on a daily basis. So I looked at Sears vinyl siding colors and picked out a bright gray that would look nice but hide a lot of dirt.

We have just a few rooms left to redo inside the house and then put on fresh coats of paint in before it’s ready to be sold and for us to move onto the next one.
